ARTEFACT RESEARCH & INTERPRETATION

A museum’s role is not a passive repository, but rather an institution where artefacts serve as the primary educational tools for the past and present. In order to properly serve as a learning resource, I believe new and already accessioned museum collections must be researched in depth to ensure the histories and cultures associated are being appropriately interpreted. In my museum experiences and degree I have had the oppurtunity to identify and research artefacts from a variety of backgrounds in storage and for display.
