During the co-curated exhibition I Was Here, I assisted the learning team (lead by Tullia Fraser) in photographing and processing six artefacts for 3D modelling. Photo-scanning and Agisoft PhotoScan was used to create exact virtual replicas of the artefacts, embellished with click-able annotations revealing more about the object’s history and physical condition.
As the COVID-19 lockdown began to become imminent, we made sure to scan as many artefacts as possible in preparation for an online exhibition with digital learning at the forefront.
Photography and Editing
I am versed in photography both for museum and archival collections, as well as recreational interest. I am experienced in photo editing and scanning of materials where contrast is improved for visibility, but the values data is retained.
I am also experienced in photo manipulation for designs and general fun. For the UMBC Ancient Studies Council’s newsletter I manipulated the image to recreate the Parthenon’s East pediment.
